Come comfortable, not performance-ready
The retreat requires no special equipment or previous experience. Bring comfortable layers, steady walking shoes and a willingness to follow a slower rhythm. A short seasonal preparation list is sent after booking.
What is Tsintzina Mountain Retreats?+
It is a small therapeutic Tai Chi and Qi Gong mountain retreat in Tsintzina, Parnonas, at approximately 1,100 metres. Tai Chi, Qi Gong, healing meditation, Shinrin Yoku, gentle hiking, breath, silence and rest form one experience for a group of up to 12 guests.
What accommodation and amenities are available?+
Guests stay in two stone guesthouses with a combined capacity of 14 beds, in triple and quadruple rooms. The setting includes an indoor practice space, a large courtyard and direct access to the village, forest paths and the natural landscape of Parnonas.

How much does the retreat cost and what is included?+
The listed rate is €250 with a €100 deposit. It includes two nights, four guided Tai Chi sessions, Qi Gong and Ba Duan Jin, healing meditation, breath practices, Shinrin Yoku, gentle mindful walking and learning material. Meals and final terms are confirmed in writing before booking.
Do I need previous Tai Chi or Qi Gong experience?+
No. Practices are explained from the beginning, adapted to the group and designed around awareness and gentle movement rather than performance.
Who is the retreat for?+
It is for adults seeking gentle movement, nature, stillness, release and a temporary pause from the fast rhythm of everyday life.
Which practices are part of the retreat?+
The core experience combines Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Ba Duan Jin, healing meditation and breathwork with Shinrin Yoku, mindful walking, silence, personal time and rest.
How demanding are the walks?+
Routes are generally gentle and are adapted to the group’s ability, the season and the weather.
What should I bring?+
Bring comfortable layered clothing, steady walking shoes, a light waterproof and personal items. A short seasonal preparation list is sent after booking.
How are rooms allocated?+
Accommodation is in triple or quadruple rooms. Final allocation is agreed in writing before the deposit, according to the composition of the group.
Can I attend alone?+
Yes. The small-group format allows guests arriving alone to connect naturally while retaining personal space.
Can dietary needs be accommodated?+
State your dietary needs in the booking form. What can be accommodated is confirmed in writing before the booking is completed.
What is the cancellation policy?+
The full cancellation policy and financial terms are sent before any payment and included in the written booking confirmation.
How do I reach Tsintzina?+
After registering interest, you receive detailed directions to Polydroso – Tsintzina in Lakonia and the available transport options.
What happens if the weather changes?+
The programme adapts safely to conditions. A protected indoor space is available for guided practice.
